Description
This is a tune from last summer...My son told me that I had been playing and recording too much without him, and he more or less dragged me into the studio room, harmonica in hand, to play with HIM...
This is the result. I played along in G, the key of his harmonica, while my son improvised for about three minutes...then launched into some improvised lyrics...You will hear, I think, the influence of Bare Naked Ladies and The Beatles...
The resemblance to "Subterranean Homesick Blues" is, I think, coincidental...
My son wanted his own MacJams page, but I haven't figured out how to do that from the same email address...He would like to post under the name 'thepeep'...That IS, in fact, a stuffed animal version of a Peep, those marshmallow things so popular at Easter, in his photo...in this case, modified with a Groucho sticker...
I added a little bass, fluffed notes and all, afterwards, but otherwise this is all one big mono take...
We both hope you all enjoy it!

Heh. This is really cute. I love how your son talks about the
music between harmonica licks. He's got some wild notes in
his playing but the soul he puts into it makes it just fine. I
liked the verses he sang about the horse and the camel and
how hot it was (not even a carrot), and then how no one lives
forever so just sing along. I really enjoyed listening to this.
It's fun to hear musicians' kids playing music with them.
