Ætherial

This Song Temporarily Offline
Description
Just having some fun with different time signatures. This is before I started to get into bands such as Dream Theater and Mars Volta.

I've opened this up as Open Collab because I'm going to start re-recording things as real instruments (or at least better fakes :P ). If anyone wants to get involved, feel free to message me.

The white moon.
This melody is beautiful.
I am made to think of the moonlight night of Japan.
Move and geostationary.

I hear music to accompany a detective show... With more focus on the
drum track and some real live bass, this can be a really cool
composition.

Schweet!
Really nice emotional piece with heaps of potential, however, your
instruments lack nuance and subtlty. The drums sound like every hit is
exactly the same velocity which makes them feel fake. The guitar
timbre sound right out of the box stock and ultimately very sampled
and uninteresting sounding.

It's painfully quantized. Every note is Exactly. On. Time. and it makes it
feel VERY artificial and stiff.

I'd love to hear this played by a real band, or to have you take the time
to randomize and humanize the MIDI notation so that it sounds more
natural.

More Moon
The deep soft reverb is nice. The ambience of Moonchild by King
Crimson comes to mind. No quantization in that one though. I agree, less
quantized equals more aetherial.

Enjoyable
I especially enjoy how easily it flows. The instrumentation you selected is
also pleasant. I'm not too concerned with the lack of 'human nuance' since
I am guessing that wasn't the intent here.

Enjoyable
Well, one day I would like it to be played with real people and to have that
human feeling (so long as it still floats) however this piece was done way
before I had much expertise with sequencing programs. Hence the lack of
the human touch, the piece No10 has also a similar problem... a lack of time,
resources and expertise during the time of creation. One day though... one
day.
