Loved it
was singing Canticle along in the background.

Interesting pronunciation of Scarburrah. You must be from Teranah.

(You may have to be Canajun to get that.)

Cheers Snow!

'Scarburrah' is the correct pronunciation wot we Brits use ... Simon &
Garfunkel pronounced it wrong on their version!

Damn!
I was trying to be the first to comment on this....snowdragon, you
villain, you! I love this song anyway, so to hear a cover of it by two of
my fave macjammers, is a dream! Love the authentic live sound. :-)

Damn!
Beth took the words out of my mouth… blimey that was an unpleasant
surgical procedure… I had hoped to be the first to comment on this but I
got caught up in doing something else and so I'm a bit late to this party
(ironic given that I was at the party where this was actually recorded… I
was in the same room as Rebsie and Stevel when they worked their
magic). Again, as with Beth, I love this song so much, an all-time
favourite of mine in fact. It's a joy to hear this version again now just as
it was a joy to hear it when it was first birthed right in front of me. Great
version… I always hoped that Rebsie would do one. Thanks must also go
to my mate Peter who was at the Cheltenham sessions and suggested
that a version of 'Scarborough Fair' be attempted in the first place. Right
on, Peter!

Damn!
Thanks Fairy Beth, thanks Eppy! I wasn't really aware of anyone suggesting
this song, it just seemed to happen. Quite an amazing experience really,
since neither me nor Steve had ever played it before and we just thrashed out
the chords between us and then got on with it. There really is nothing like
spontaneous jamming with other musicians ... it's just magic.

And Eppy, since you were sitting in the farty chair at the time, I must thank
you for keeping very still and not spoiling our take.

Wonderful vocals
I had such a great time doing this, sounds like we are in a folk club in
the late 60's. Your singing is really really marvellous on this!
The Cheltenham sessions may well become the stuff of legend!

Wonderful vocals
Steve, I couldn't have done it without you. It was a delight to share it with you
and it's really helped rekindle my enthusiasm for playing live. You did a
brilliant job.

Nice Jam
I agree that there is nothing quite so fun as sitting down with a fellow
musician and working up a song that you don't ordinarily do. This is
probably my favorite of the old English folk songs. It just has such a
timeless incredibly beautiful melody and you did it proud! The first
time I heard this song it just seemed so mysterious to me with all those
strange words - sage, rosemary, thyme. Later I actually learned how to
cook and the meaning became more clear. Now I am still not too sure
about this Cambric thing?

timeless
A lovely rendition of this classic.

The blend of the two guitars is full, well-rounded and -synchronized,
with very natural sounding vocals floating on top.

A little reverb added later might have provided even more warmth,
sparkle and sustained quality to this nicely-performed tune.

Nicely done.
