Description
My friend clicked "record" on Garage Band, using the microphone built-in to my eMac G3, in order to record this spontaneous jam by my band The Pyramid Scheme.

Lol: "ROCK".

It sounds cool, but, it's a crap recording. I'm surprized a built-in mic on an eMac, of all things, would be able to pick it up at all, though.

I dunno what to say; I'm not a rock afficianado. It sounds pretty generic to me, but that's fine given it's a jam.

good song
This is a good jam but, like the last person said, it's a really bad recording. I bet a you'd get a much better responce if you found a proper way to record this. Merry Christmas!

Good work/bad work
Like it's been said here already, the recording is not so good. It started off alright, then just went south as the band gets louder - it's way distorted and all the instruments are in a big muddle puddle. That said, I'm trying to parse through it and get to the heart of the music, which is not bad. Generally, the band seems to groove well together. There are some nice passages guitar-wise where the band has a nice cohesion. The soloist about midway through has a nice bluesy phrasing and the drummer holds down things pretty well. As for the merits of the jam, you guys seem to pass the ball pretty well, that tempo shift towards the end comes as a nice surprise. I'd say you've got a lot to be encouraged about. Next time, set up a couple of room mics!
