Description
Mainly a solo type fingerpicking piece with vocals done live style. Added overdubs of harmonica and the cool voice of Selters added on the chorus. Lyrics could apply to a lot of different situations. I hope they spark something in you that you can identify with!

Lyrics
I'm just a lonely sailor on an endless sea, I wonder if you realize this is just me
I'm not asking you to wonder or to care about what's right or wrong or even fair
Am C G
There is a sea wind blowing me away
Am C G
From you and your feet of clay
There's grain in the hold and there's rum in the kegs,
I know what you're thinking, that I'm just the dregs
But when the wind fills the sails with air, I'll lean back and smile in my chair
Chorus
I've got a line in the water, my bait is on my hook
Once I was innocent but now I have a cynical look
And the way the fish are biting it's a joke
So I lean back and blow back your smoke
chorus
There maybe storms on the water so I leave without delay
But the sun is still shining as I sail away
Well you can have your gold, I'm happy just to pay your toll

This reminded me I must get a harmonica! Nice lyrics and pickin' Tom
- the combination of voices with Selters suits really well too. I can
imagine the two of you singing this on a back porch somewhere warm,
coffees on the table. Like it!
