Milk Song (Punk)

Description
I saw that I had poured a glass of milk, but never actually drank it. That means that somebody wasted the milk again. By the lyrics you can see that my shame is all too evident. i can't bear to bring myself to admit that I wasted the milk.

No use crying over wasted milk, I wrote a song. A punk song no less. Work out my frustrations you know.

Be sure to check out my Milk Song (Hair Ballad). That's where I get really sullen.

p.s.>>The guitar s actually a classical guitar which I miked. I couldn't believe I could get this sound out of it.

Lyrics
I poured some milk but I never drank it, no
That means that somebody wasted the milk again.
I poured some milk but I never drank it no.
That means that somebody wasted the milk again.
I bought some milk but I never drank it no.
That means that somebody wasted the milk again.
That means that somebody wasted the milk again.
It wasn't me, but somebody wasted the milk again.

Fun Stuff!
You can take this further! "When I think of the waste it leaves a sour taste." "If I keep forgetting things I'll have to be pasturized." "The site of that glass makes my stomach churn and blood curdle." On and on.

Fun Stuff!
Thanks for the comments! This version is actually longer than what I
had originally envisioned. i was inspired by penguinsock's brevity on Sun
Spots
.

But I have since toyed with making it into a whole song. Thanks for the
lyrics...I may just use them.

darn that wasted milk again!
Very clever alternation of instrumental w/vocal.

I agree that you should take this further out. More
screaming vocals (after clearing throat, of course) and
wilder guitar and drums.

The juxtaposition of milk and punk should be
exaggerated, it's really quite a funny concept that could
be developed even better. Adding to that "milk in a dirty
glass" kind of idea.

i think if you use the word 'Juxtaposition' in reference to any pink song it
invalidates the 'punkness' of the the song and turns it into adult
contemporary. Maybe Lional Ritche can do the vocals for it?

I'm glad you cleared that up. Don't know if I like my song being referred to as pink. Mind you, coming from BlackLily, its gotta be some kinda compliment just having you comment, you GB Goddess.

Nice!
It's so nice to see artists getting back to some serious
punk. Something that really expresses the angst and
frustration of the oppressed! :-)

Great tune. The length is a benefit in this case... leaves
one wanting more. Perhaps an angry song about cheese?

I think you need to fatten up the mix a little. Other than
that a very catchy tune.
