Reply to Karmatoburn Soundtrack to a movie is how I kind of perceived the three "street" songs I wrote. Software guitar in the lead. Thanks for listening and thanks for commenting. Check out my latest song called It Was a Dark and Stormy Night

Dig the Neighborhood Catchy main riff, hypnotic bass and percussion. Very nice. Reminds me of Stratus by Billy Cobham (this is in no way a derogatory remark). Check out my latest song called Bounce Buffet w/ Hectorious

A good song But there were to many pre-made loops. It's more fun to listen to when it's your work, rather than you just putting together bits of other peoples work. That's just my opinion. Otherewise it wasn't bad. Check out my latest song called Electric Jelly

reply to LightTronics Thanks for taking a listen and thanks for your comment. I look forward to hearing some of your songs posted here on MacJams. About the use of loops. A collage is a paste-up made by sticking together pieces of paper or photographs to form an artistic image. That is much like what I do with the loops I cut and paste and put together to form a new song. Some would argue that the "art" created by Andy Warhol was not legitimate either because it used photographs as the basis. My father, who was a classical music professor for many years, says that Mozart was the master at taking other peoples "riffs" and using them in his own works. I figure the use of loops is an old tradition updated in a new way. YOU may know that I used loops in my compositions, but many people don't know that because they have not investigated the programs that include the loops. To them the song is either something they like or something they don't care for. I make no apologies for assembliing ny songs the way I do. Check out my latest song called It Was a Dark and Stormy Night

although I probably wouldn't listen to it while driving the mean/bad
streets locally. It had its own built in edgy factor. I'm paranoid as it is
:-) Would work great as a soundtrack for a gritty movie about the
streets. Would also work well as tune to pump the troops prior to
battle. Really exceptional production as always. Loved that reverbed
clav in the background. Is that a guitar playing the head or a synth?
