Blues and far beyond Was walking around in house listening. This is a weighty thing. Struck me that it is blues and far beyond, because there is such an intense sense of sorrow, or grief. Blues of course contain this, but traditionally blues has been rougher, harder, often carrying hopelessness. Your music ziti, carry so much warmth, so much will, so much belief. Belief in a better mankind. Belief, and hope, of a better world. And yes, the word regret also came to my mind, (and I had to go look; didn't you mention something about regret). Regret being the first giant step towards new life. Check out my latest song called Guitar test — Martin CSN (Gerry Tolman Tribute)

This is one of those ones... ...wherein is distilled much of the "Ziti sound", but more important than that is that it's also one of those ones wherein is distilled much of the "Ziti personality" as well... Or, at least, one aspect of the Ziti personality... Distilled, and perhaps taken a little further... ed seeing as how fame and fortune have managed to avoid me, the only point now is to continue to develop the voice i've found. I am so glad to be able to record these efforts...and have some people listen to it and care about it. thanks for your encouragement and friendship z Check out my latest song called Stepping Down

no "Russian Whispers" here Fran, this is another wonderful bit of playing. Everything sounds so full of sould (and, yes, regret) - I love how you are able to translate feeling into notes and back again at the listener's end - no "Russian Whispers" here, I'm confident I'm getting what you're sending. Your comment to Ed about how "fame and fortune have managed to avoid me" is surprising on one level - you clearly have the skills, dedication and sheeer love of what you do (and how you do it), but on another level, I suspect that there might be a lot more to life than touring, recording and fighting off beautiful women - ummmm did I get that right :) !!!!???!!! Thanks again for sharing your skills and emotions with us here at MJ Fran, Neil Check out my latest song called Under My Skin

you know fame and fortune at this point would be a pain in the ass anyway...the fame anyway!...who wants everyone to know who you are all the time? fortune would be convenient as i have 2 children heading to college! I think with me, it would be more the acceptance of my playing, and the vindication that would happen if some reward came in. I would know all this wasn't a foolish waste of time...I think that would be a nice feeling. I have never been a money guy. But i am enjoying the process of recording music so much now, and it is a dream come true to be able to record it all...and have the recordings sound nice. i feel like i have found my voice on the instrument...now i just want to build the sound, and get the sound perfected. it is an unbelievable joy to have a nice group of friends scattered all over the world who hear it and like it. and understand the feelings expressed. z Check out my latest song called Stepping Down

really fine playin and production. The soloing in particular captures everything I love about the electric guitar. The nuances, riffs, chirps, fret action and verb all conspire to create the zetes sound. The backing tracks also do a wonderful job in the support function here. Understated and subtly played they are perfect frame and foli for the solo. You do a great job of creating a large ampi theater ambience here. Check out my latest song called off the deck (w/Z293)

i do love all the various other sounds an electric guitar makes other than notes....i think they add tremendously to the personality of the playing. I remember listening to the Mayall & Clapton album when it first came out...of all the tremendous playing on that, i loved the fact that you could hear the pick hitting the string.... Glad you enjoyed John. You are the BOMB! z Check out my latest song called Stepping Down

Could've fooled me... This is quality work. Not quality as in technical proficiency or speed or technique (the uninteresting stuff), but quality in terms of storytelling, phrasing, speaking with your instrument. A very rare talent. I don't understand how fame and fortune passed by on you. I hang out with people who love guitar music, and if I were to let them hear this and said it was a lost bootleg tape of some famous blues player, they would probably buy it. Now that I come to think of it, if you turned out to be a very famous blues player harassing us here on macjams under a pseudonym, I would buy it. If you made a cd, I would buy it. In fact, I would buy one for all of my guitar loving friends. And they would buy it for theirs. This deserves to be heard around the planet. Really, extremely good work. Thanks for posting this. The Z signature ...It's all over this room now. Wonderful moody piece. Very sad, and filled with tears and cry. I'm impressed with how you've made this instrumental so alive through all the stages of the tune. That is not an easy thing to do... and it has a good live feel. Few do instrumental blues... ... as well as you. I've heard this tune on another site, and was appropriately floored by the delivery and the passion of this track. You have a fantastic "guitar voice" that is both recognizable and welcome to these ears. Nice use of volume swells, and the very tasteful firey licks interspersed with a practically heartbreaking blues melody. I'm also very glad to see you're quite the brand name on this site. It's well deserved. Thanks for sharing. Check out my latest song called Can't Look Her In The Eye
