Description
***IMPORTANT***

I suggest to not listen to this song in the macjams browser. Instead download it and wait until you've got 15 free mins in your day to listen. I wrote this piece as sleep music, and without giving too much away, it roughly describes the history of the earth. Part 1 goes up until the Ice Age. I'll post part 2 when I finnish the story.

I also believe this is the longest song yet to be posted on macjams.

Awesome
This is really cool. I actually tried this out last night, and it put me right to sleep. I love all the deep tones. Captivating. I can't wait for the second part.

There were .....
... only a few moments where I felt there was perhaps a little RED ZONE happening here ..... and it wasn't necessarily the volume ... it just sort of felt like it was PEAKING and could have used a little something to soften it .. but still increase the vol on it ... ???? does that make sense? ..... did dig it tho ...... only maing the commentos as ..... as an ambient song ... I was closing my eyes feeling the ambience .. and once or twice my eyes sort of popped open unexpectently ... and I thought ... hmmmm its not LOUD per se ... but something just sort of HUMMMMMMMMED a little bright ..... think it is just simply a mixing issue ... and simce I know NOTHING about mixing ... I have NO Idea how to comment on it ..... sigh yeah I suck ! hahahaha I like the MIX tho .... just my teeny tiny little issues ....

it's a funny thing, the bass tones. I hear the clips as well as you do, but for some reason it didn't light up red in the meter. I'll just let it go for now, it still serves it's purpose...putting me to sleep.

The clips . . .
may not be in the audio, but in the speakers or headphone drivers. This happens often with some of the that reach for sounds at the extremes of the sound spectrum, as this one reaches.

By the way, it's a sweet project, though I'm afraid, you're taking us into the future with your history.

If you find yourself lacking finesse, a big rock will usually make a sufficient substitute.

Unrelentia Ambientia
This was very nicely put together, and indeed quite soothing and dreamy. Bits of old music floated by, sounding familiar... the intro "wind" began to remind me of "One of these days" by Pink Floyd, and indeed there were a number of Floyd/Tangerine Dream elements here. The little descending chimes gave me "Enigma" chills. The sound effects were really well integrated, quite smooth. The only jarring thing was the blippy stuff in the middle that was like the Zen master coming along and smacking me on the head with the wooden paddle while I was meditating, to make sure I'd not fallen asleep instead. When the wind returns at the end, it felt more like we'd come full circle instead of along a linear path, but that in itself was a rather satisfying ending, at least of part one. Very nice craftsmanship here.

this
what a great analysis of my song drak!
As you know, the song describes the history of planet earth up until the ice age. The blips were meant to show the beginning of life and the multiplication of single celled organisms, but oh well. I like your zen master descripion better.

Sleep...
Definitely a dreamscape here... got me in a very relaxed mode. I think a good back massage to accompany should be in order... that at 7 min was not as relaxing, but I see your description and intent. Nice work.

Very 2001-ish
Floating in space.
Love it. Waiting for part 2.
I used to go to sleep to Jarre when i was younger.
I'm having problems with some of the sounds too, though. Did you use a compressor? Something doesn't feel right. But it's a great song. Seagulls is very Floydish and Animals.
