Description
This is a pretty cool song that rings a little like The Talking Heads. The chorus is rather catchy and the solo is a cool break. One of my favorites so far.

Lyrics: Chris Winters. Music: Rich Huston, Chris Winters. Recorded May 6, 2007
I know I’m grinning
From ear to ear
Once this deal goes down it’s the end of my fear
Producer’s calling
Can’t stop the phone
13 years in this dumb town I can finally call my home
I started slowly
Now I’m rising fast
Gonna step into the light gonna make this feeling last
It’s just a dream but
That’s what life is for
I came to the fountain
I wanted something more
So many others are just
Ghosts among the hills
I’d die if Hollywood
Wouldn’t let me drink my fill
Running out of patience
Money’s getting thin
I know I gotta stick it out, ‘cause this is how I win
At the Farmer’s Market
The writers turn away
My agent hasn’t called me back in 17 days
I hear the rumors
The deal fell through
The director’s sleeping with my girlfriend too
The sky is falling
It’s crashing down
Why did I ever think I could make it in this town?

This has a really cool groove Rich, and lovely bass and guitar. The mix on this is really nice - the vocal and guitar sound great. I get Talking Heads; some of the guitar sounds a little like the Strokes/Pixies, but really, this just sounds like Ghost Hoodie! Really nice vocals from Chris here - his voice sounds wonderful.
Jeez, you keep clockin' up the songs, dontcha??
