Description
This one's been gestating for several months now. I think the lyrics speak for themselves.
This was recorded in GarageBand and then mixed in Logic Express. I'm not happy at all with the mix, but I've been mixing and mixing and mixing and just can't seem to get it right, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears (which is really odd looking and just a bit off-putting.)

Lyrics
Wastin’ My Time
©2007 Joseph Gurner
I’ve been wastin’ my time cryin’ over you
Too many days have gone by with nothin left to show
I sit alone and wonder why I ever felt that way
All your love has up and gone. Was it really ever there
But I was wastin’ my time
Just wastin’ my time
I’ll move on and be fine
No more wastin’ my time
You never heard my silent pain
You never saw the scars you left on me
But day by day the sun shines on
and the anger goes away
But I was wastin’ my time
Just wastin’ my time
I’ll move on and be fine
No more wastin’ my time
Every day I spent sitting in the dark
Wondering
If you and I were ment to really spend our lives
Together
I close my eyes and wish I’d never heard your voice
calling me
Every night I dream that you I have said
Goodbye
But I was wastin’ my time
Just wastin’ my time
I’ll move on and be fine
No more wastin’ my time

Gee, I wonder if you're a bassist or not? :-)
I think my favorite part of this is the bridge with the dreamy oohey-ah's. The harmonies are really tight and remind me of The Beach Boys, a little different than the rest of the song.
I don't think there could be a truer sentiment, that no one really has time to waste, so it's best to move forward and be happy. You have no idea how good it is to hear you singing these words.
I think the lead vocal should be in front a bit more. Right now, the bass seems to be taking up a little more space than the vocal. It's not the volume, but I think that there's some frequency hogging between the other instruments and Neil's...oops...I mean YOUR singing.
Very groovy and that bass line really does kill.
