Description
An ode to all the hipsters you've ever wished you didn't know. I really thought we should have said, "Jeffery Buckley" just for a little condescending snub, but oh well.

Vocals, Lyrics, Guitars: Chris Winters
Bass and Mix: Rich Huston
Drums: Troy Woody

Lyrics
Effortless

I know I’ll never be sufficiently inside
You wish there’s no one else in whom I should confide
But I don’t remember where I was when Jeff Buckley died

Not my fault, not my choice to be who I am
Not everyone has your gift to completely understand
What to wear and what to drink in what club and with what band

You make it seem
So effortless
But where I came from
I couldn’t care less
I’m so tired
Of pretending
These casusal battles
Neverending

In your eyes criticize
There’s nothing more I can do

I suppose I can study up but I don’t have that much time
I suppose I can buy a lot, spend every single dime
If I pose as what I’m not it’s an unforgivable crime

Greetings from the North
ZOI, thanks for stopping in and the kind words. We try to make this look easy, but there are a lot of late nights. The coordination of everyone is the hardest part, just trying to get together, but it is a lot of fun.

Buckley!
Haha, the "Buckley? ??" cracked me up. Jeff seems to be the Kurt Cobain for a very select age group (26-30) around these Seattle parts—which is a bit of a stretch cause I just never felt he was all that much to listen to. He's alright, but no immortal hero. A Buckley diss or lack of knowing in these parts is pretty much equivalent to being uncool.

Cool vibe....
and nice production - Great chorus - very Iggy/Bowie sounding to me - a job well done.

Tricky little beast
Firstly, your production goes from strength to strength - this sounds great Rich. This is a really great track - full of odd little twists and turns - the chorus just comes out of nowhere and kicks the song up a few gears. Everyones playing is really tight, and Chris's vox (and harmonies) soar.

I'm a fan, and I'm running out of superlatives ....I love the Buckley line - brave and really out there.

Another great track

Over-Production
The production is getting better, but I worry I may be getting a little over-produced with some new stuff I haven't put up yet. I really didn't like this song at first but it has grown on me. I like how the chorus kicks in, Chris is singing really well lately. I have a few songs I haven't posted where he really takes it to the next level.
