Description
I got my PowerBook G4 and MIDI interface working with my old Roland HP 1700L after all! I've been knacking away at this little excuse for a tune in my spare time. I've come to like it a lot, and I hope you do too. My songs have been getting longer lately, this one surpassing Walking with Angels in its length. It's not quite as powerful as Walking with Angels though. Only regret is the terrible compromises GB makes me make as far as the power and energy of beats. Other than that, GB has served me well. Enjoy!

First, I'll mention that standard trance isn't my favorite genre, because it tends to be dance music, not "sit and listen" music... however, you chose a good dark soundbed to play on, and the synths you chose are cool! The main central drum and super-fast snares (like most trance music) always bother me a bit because they are loud and fake-sounding.
But, you do nice slow builds in this piece, and introduce a couple of different leads, which keeps it more interesting throughout. You may want to try a little more variety in the backing sound though, keep the beat going, but drop out or change many of the instruments in one spot, then slowly bring the originals back, things like that to give variety & sparkle. Very good job... glad you have your keyboard hooked up!
