Description
This is actually a Caustic Autumn song. We wrote it last night.
I was playing it today on the acoustic and decided to record it.
it's poorly mixed, the trebly pluck of the guitar is a little hard on the ears. I apologize.

Lyrics
What's that you're reading?
I promise you I don't know the name.
I choose between me and mine, so I guess we're even.
It saves me from breathing.
Please just whisper something sweet to me my friend.
It feels so good to know I never have to bend.
Please just hint at some good use for me and my hands.
This is little more than means to an end.
So I hear you're leaving.
I promise you this place will never be the same.
You choose between you and yours.
You don't have to tell me,
but it'd save me the bleeding.
Please just whisper something something sweet to me my friend.
It feels so good to know I'll never have to bend.
Please just hint at some good use for me and my hands.
This is little more than means to an end.
I never leave this room
Please just whisper something sweet to me my friend.
It feels so good to know I'll never have to bend.
Please just hint at some good use for me and my hands.
This is little more than means to an end.
Please just offer something sweet to me my friend.
It feels so good to know I'm never asked to mend.
Instead just find some good use for me and my plans.
This is little more than means to an end.
I never leave this room.
I promise you I don't know the name.

A powerful idea worth working on. I would definitely use the acoustic track you have as you build the arrangement. Some ideas: It could get electric at the "I never leave this room" break, go back to acoustic for the next to last ending chorus, and then electric for the last repeat, and then fade out different instruments at a time. Vocally, your lead works throughout, except when you get muffled and far away at the end of the chorus. But the backing vocals flat a few times in ways that don't serve the song. (All of your flatting in the lead works for me, is emotional and tearing.) Don't wreck it with drums, unless used sparingly if you go electric in these 2 spots. But if you use perc, consider hand drums, not a kit, for most of it. Great song. Potentially an amazing power ballad.
