Description
Influenced by a couple of Tom Petty songs, about moving on and taking your life back. Was intended to be a song to listen to while drive along the highway when you are feeling a bit down with your life.

Lyrics
when I look back, at the man I used to be,
no nails holding me down, no rope around my neck.
sitting here, with all i possess.
its everything i wanted, everything i wanted, all that i wanted, everything i wanted.
but i dont want it, i dont want it.
chorus
With my guitar on the back seat, my mind on the road, i'm driving on to wherever, the highway to the, sun.
drive my car out of this town, leave my life behind, im taking time for myself instead of giving it all, to someone else.
Yeah its a fact, I've been digging myself a ditch.
I've seen people come and go, I've been moving way to slow.
so I'll move on, and maybe I'll change my name.
to someone i can lean on, help me to dream on,
life i can build on, life i can build on.
yes i want it, i really want it.
chorus
time to get myself strong, I'll get my shoes on, yeah

I don't think I heard the first version. not that it matters.
What an excellent song though. vocals & guitars really shine and a killer chorus.
A really great song!
