Description
A while ago I had the privilege of doing several collaborations with John (woofer3), which where originally released on icompositions. This is one of them. John is not only a good friend who has given me great guidance in my music and poetry endeavours but he is also an excellent musician. Together we have done this tribute to a very talented lady called Molly Picon who was born June 1st 1898 and sadly died 5th April 1992. She starred in many films and performed on stage, this is one of her famous talk songs and this is my version. This recording was done last year on my old computer, so its not the best recording from me, but I think John makes up for it with his excellent piano playing. I do hope you enjoy.

Lyrics
Busy, Busy, Busy, Busy, all day long, I'm in a whirl
Busy, Busy, till I'm dizzy, have'nt had the working girl
Every morn I rise at dawn, take a shower, brush my hair
Rush into my clothes like mad, and run downstairs,
Good morning there.
Grap a cup of coffee quick, kiss my ma goodbye and then
Where's my hat and where's my coat, quick or I'll be late again
In the subway, how they push yer, gee, but men sure have big feet.
I think the shock would kill me, if a man gave me a seat.
There's my girlfriend, hello Nelly, gee your looking swell my dear.
And the travelling salesman didn't know, I'm getting off right here.
Punch the time clock late a little, if the Boss sees that I'm sick
Put some powder on my snozzle, and behind the counter quick.
Hello honey, how's your tonsils, yes Madam that's been reduced
I saw these swellas talking about a girl that's been seduced.
Nathanial have to get the floorman, don't have to make it wild.
Pull your feet back, that womans near by, she should take care of her child.
She thinks that I'm her nursemaid, like to tell her what to do.
Well of all the rotten noises, no Madam I don't mean you.
Turns out its time for closing, guess I'll take a taxi home.
If my Ma shouldn't ever see me, she would clap me on the dome.
Hello Ma how's it goin, Thanks for taking me out tonight
What yer say he's got tickets for the Garden Borough Fight.
Hello Patty, hello dearey , sure I'm ready well goodbye
Holy gee, look at the garden, what a place, oh me oh my
What a crowd, gee those spiders, sure have muffles, aint they slick.
Nothing in the place gets that! gee that spider makes me sick .
Comin in the village for a beer is why I am so tired
But the views and the flowers leaving me feeling so inspired
What yer say its 2 oclock, my old man will give me, well,
Hurry up and take me home, goodnight Harry, that was swell
Take my shoes off they wont here me creep upstairs and get to bed.
Holy gee, my dogs are barking, I'm so tired wish I was dead.
Now I lye me down, and sleep, besides the alarm I'm gonna keep.
Byes e bye before I wake up
Pray the Lord I wont be late
Busy Busy, all day long Im in a whirl
Busy Busy til I'm dizzy
Haven't had the working girl
Goodnight

for a while, - I know I played the piano on it but it's your great performance that really seals it's magic for me.
I love your poetry as well but this little track is such a nice change and so different. I'd love to hear you do some Ada Jones songs.
John.
