Description
This is a variation on a song I wrote a while back in the DADGAD tuning, performed here in a solo contemplative version for the MacJams coffeehouse. Here's another version of the original tune, which is pretty different

The picture art is a painting of a tin toy top by my wife, Andrea Tamkin. Maybe she can have a show someday at the MacJams Coffeehouse.

First of all - cool artwork - your wife is obviously very talented - the "artistic family"! I love the mood of this piece Jim - you used the word contemplative, which fits perfectly. You're making it sound easy, but I know it's not at all. Love how you get those great harmonics (I could never do that!) so effortlessly. Beautiful tones - thanks!

I'm about to head out to Guitar Center to buy a new interface and I really shouldn't have stopped by here to listen to your new Apogee, beforehand. I'd talked myself out of finding the big bucks and was just going to buy something lower-end for now then SAVE UP to buy the Apogee, but wow, this sounds so beautiful, just crystal-clear and warm and it has taken a lot of the digital sound out of it. The harmonics sound gorgeous.

I love how confident and relaxed your playing is. Because I've seen video of you playing on YouTube, I can just picture you playing this one, which is very nice.

Beautiful
This is a very beautiful piece to start the day off with. It sort of reminds me of a rising sun on a saddened day. That Apogee Duet sounds nice. I might have to put one of those on my wish list. The perfect song for a coffee house!

Amazing sound
The guitar rings clear and true. Great playing, too, and lovely changes - love those harmonics, too. Made me contemplative, for sure. Beautiful piece of music. Nicely done. This is a coffee shop I'd happily spend a lot of time in. Peace.

Beautiful
I love the song/performance, and I love your wife's painting. The song and painting make a third art. I like to teach that idea to my English students. So I may use this as an example, if you don't mind.

I will have to look for you on YouTube. What a nice surprise to hear that you are there :)

Made me cloud up and don't know why...
... it just did!... Warm and beautiful, Jim. I'd be as long winded as I tend to be, but I'm being called to bed! Lucky you. But not much from needs to be known about this because it might only diminish what's to be known.

Thanks! Dion

But...
...I can't not tell your wife what a talented artist she is, too. Very pleasing image you've both left to have cuddling my thoughts as I head towards sleepville. Thanks to her, too! Dion

Wonderful
I really like this. Reminds me of so many moments in life. It just has that dreamy but earthy feel that I've had when I've found myself in the moment somewhere peaceful. Great tone an that guitar.
