Description
I have been very busy at work and at home and have not been very active at MJ's lately. Today I had some spare time and decided to compose this music reflecting the dawn. It starts at dawn, very quiet and becomes brighter and louder as the sun rises and the morning progresses.
The picture was taken in Washington State by my son.
I finally figured out why some notes sound brighter than others. I has bothered me a lot since I started using GB. It turns out that for some reason some notes (the "chimey ones") have 2 in one (superimposed). When I find a note that sounds too bright I delete one of them and voila! Not sure why there are 2 notes superimposed on each other since I just play as it goes.

A little...
...treasure to add to your collection of piano numbers. The "advance" of the composition is quite fun to follow%u2014from very simple to a much more dignified and glorious conclusion. You've painted a nice picture to follow your description of the dawn...Enjoyed it very much.

Don't have any help for you on the GB front since I do not use it these days for recording or mixing. When I did, I don't ever recall having a problem with the Ivory, double notes, etc. Strange.

Hope to hear more of your work soon.
Peace.
Paul

Sorry to be late...
...I'm pretty busy, myself, lately...

...a beauty, Enrique...thanks for sharing...

Interesting about the superimposed notes. I had a problem like that with some false harmonics I was playing on my nylon string. Wonder if it's a similar thing...not sure it would apply to an acoustic instrument vs your midi...

Anyway: glad to have heard this. Really enjoyed it and have missed your sounds.

Marche
This has a processional feel, starting softly, but getting quite bold and proud at the end, nicely done!

I know Bob mentioned problems with "Harmonics" above... but even though your problem and his both "harm" the final music, yours would more aptly be described as "Harmenriques" I think :-)

As always, a gorgeous musical etude, succinctly developed and beautifully played. The recording sounds ever-so-slightly muffled, as if the high frequencies are damped a little, but otherwise very nice.

Drakonis

Music was my first love. it still is. I have rediscovered music and time flies when playing my piano. My heroes: Bach, Chopin, Beethoven and Vivaldi. Seeing Handel's burial place at Westminster Abby brought tears to my eyes, and look with great ant... [see more]
