Description

Out in the Atlantic, off Scotalnd's western coast, lies the Isle of Lewis. Here you will find the Callanish standing stones. Standing amongst them the wind can be a whipser but more often a howling gale. It's difficult to describe the feeling this ancient place puts in your mind. It made me play this. Fir Bhreig (the false men) is Galeic for the Callanish Stones.

	hello Thanks for listening E-Wrecker and the kind comments. I'm never really sure what exactly defines Celtic music but I go with what made me play the tune in the first place. Hey Steve, well done. (I know Callanish well. They say when you are there and you count the stones and then count them again you will never get the same number twice!)... gu math Gaidhealeach, mar a chainneas iad sa Ghaidhlig! 'Very west Coast sounding, as they say in Gaelic'. great playing, once again. If it was me I would have played it AT LEAST once more again.

You make the guitar sound like an orchestra. This is just beautiful - wonderful guitar sound, outstanding playing. The wonderful thing about your playing, I think, is that not only is your playing technically excellent, but you can feel the emotion streaming through your fingertips and out through the instrument. Hi David, thanks so much for listening and leaving such an encouraging comment. Some months ago you gave me some tips on getting a good acoustic sound and if I’m getting there it’s thanks to you. Your wide acoustic sound on 'All I Ever Hear' is still the bench mark I’m aiming for! I’m hoping there are a few more tunes to be mined out using this CFCFCF tuning as it does give a big sound with the drone notes you can get ringing out.

	Sense of place Hey SJB, I hardly know what to say. This is moving, beautiful. I generally look for a piece of music to conjure imagery and this does it very well. I can't criticize the music...
..so I'll just nag you about putting your name in the mp3 info... For later, when it's on my iPod, and I go, "Who IS that?!" This is exactly what I love in acoustic guitar playing... Wish I could do it... Some of those nice low notes that are miraculously perfectly intonated sound really great on the headphones... A resonant and melodic composition, great playing, and a recording that has both depth and sparkle...
