Keywords:
Heroin (4)junkies (1)skeleton (5)jack (9)drugs (40) ()
Description:
This is about the gaunt junkies that haunt Camden and the West End of London. I won't get on my soapbox about heroin, I'll just say that for every Keith Richards there's more than a thousand wasted individuals who are robbing their mums for another fix.

Lyrics:
Skeleton Jack wants some smack
and he’ll do anything to get it.
Well, he wants to get clean
but the streets are mean
and somehow unforgiving

Skeleton Jack
Skeleton Jack

Can’t stop, must dash
Gotta get some cash
There’s a monkey needs a feeding
Gonna pimp my ass
For a bag of grass
Is there anything here worth stealing?

Skeleton Jack
Skeleton Jack

You become the drug
and the drug becomes you
You become the drug
and the drug becomes you

All I wanted to be
was like Lou Reed
well he gave it so much glamour
but the word going down
in Camden Town
is 6 months in the slammer

Skeleton Jack
Skeleton Jack

You become the drug
and the drug becomes you
You become the drug
and the drug becomes you

VEry cool
All I can say Is my best friend died of a heroin overdose. It hit me hard, Its true the draw of the underground cool musician on smack seems appealing but few realize that heroin is a drug that has taken down the strongest .. Dont matter what social standing you come from it can consume you like a fire and if you can t kick it like 99% of all junkies it will kick you.. Thanks for this song!

Catchy tune carrying a serious message. Very nicely done - like it a lot.

Excellent
song and performance with great lyrics too.... such a 'clean' sound on all fronts despite the subject. It's quite relevant to me at the moment, as someone I know has really gone over the top because of drink and smoke and it's kicking him now big time, cheers M

very rock melodically
Quite impressed with your diction of how you get such great flavor in melody in lyrics, beat, guitar the works.

Great pop - rock singing I must say! Quite an infectious rock tune.

Way to go KB!

Drug
Love the song. I've never met a Keith Richards, but I have met a few addicts and Heroin does turn them into skeletons who only exist for the next fix.

Thanks
Bill

Excellent post!
Catchy melody, well performed - but the big strength is in the lyrics.

Put any bunch of musicians together and you'll find someone who has a bad story about heroin and friends.

This is put together really well - powerful words.

Classic!
Wow man, this is really great!

I love the arrangement, and your singing is top-notch.

I lived the nightmare you are speaking of way back in 1969-1972. This tune tells the truth, no holds barred. KUDOS!

Be well!
