I have remixed this for the Summer of Love Challenge, though I posted the original last year at this time. I think it fits perfectly under that heading, though I'm not sure if I got the genre right. It's sort of a 'Light Rock', but I suppose Rockabilly comes close.

really laid back time for a margarita and hammock under a palm tree or a pine if your not in the tropics. The slide parts makes it all the better. Great artist you are. Never stop.

Now it's even better Maurice. Love the slide guitar in it, but I don't seem to remember that from last year. Is that on of you additions for the Summer of Love Challenge?

Maurice,

Your best vocal sound yet - love the harmonies, and the song is very uplifting.

From a production point of view, I think the dobro could come up a bit in the mix, and I'd like to hear less effects on the rhythm guitar. Maybe a little more volume in the drums and bass too while you're twiddling the dials.

Now although I've done it myself, I don't think the crowd noises add much to a tune, but hey, lots of people enjoy that so who am I to pontificate?!

The mic I used was my original Sennheizzer which I swapped originally because it tends to over pronounce the S's. I did raise the Dobro from the original, though it could go up a bit more as you say..... and the crowd was there to support me with it being an open air event LOL. hearing your tunes on Friday, cause your music brings out the festive feeling of kickin back and I surely get a feeling WEEKEND :)

Thanks so much for doing this, how can you put a price on that, to get that precious sand between your toes, but it doesn't matter that the sand is not actually in my toes. I get the feel in the music with out the sand irritation :) Best of both worlds.
