Description
Now.....This is a relatively recent mix. One that came about through prior thinking, so there did seem to be a plan or at least an idea to putting this mix together.
The idea was for a piece of music for a video sequence of an artificial intelligence or android in a rest state, or in effect whilst the construct was asleep.
What would go through the brain, if it was a solid state brain as opposed to a biological brain?? My thought on this were that there would be electrical activity and then other, logical sequences as the brain drifted on the borderline of quiescence.
Well that's my idea anyway, and I know that I should get out more!!!
The title is from a description of nerve activity and one of the ways that impulses travel along nerves is through gaps. The signals in effect jump the gaps, making the signals faster. These 'gaps' are the Nodes of Ranvier. (See Wikipedia.com for more precise details).

I love the background information here, and then the track itself is very cool. With your backstory in my mind, I can almost see the brain of the machine. Haunting and ethereal, this is a very cool track. Nicely done. Peace.
