Lyrics
[Intro]
Hey guys I will sing you a song about a girl
Who isn't accepted from other people
Just because she is strange or rather different
So come on

(One, two, three, four)
(Hey, hey, hey, hey)

[Verse I]
A girl is sitting in her bed
Thinking what she could do so that
she dicides to stay in her room
locked up until late afternoon
She is not very outrageous
Nothing she does is good enough
She doesn't have many friends
And doesn't put on these hot designer pants

[Chorus]
Come on guys
Sun is shining
Don't blame her
Until she's crying
And don't say
"Different strokes for different folks"

badabam...

[Verse II]
I dunno why they are so daisy
Are the people always so lazy
To accept people who are not the same
As they always remain
So come on and give this girl a chance
To integrate into your band
I know that she'll love you guys
But if you don't love her she would die

[Chorus]
Come on guys
Sun is shining
Don't blame her
Until she's crying
And don't say
"Different strokes for different folks"

[Break]
The drums, the drums are playing right
Are playing right

[Verse III]
I really hate people with prejudices
The can fuck off and sleep under a bridge
Why are millions of people sent to Coventry
Just because they are not the same as you
Just fuck off

(Hey, hey, hey, hey)

[Verse IV]
I dunno why they are so daisy
Are the people always so lazy
To accept people who are not the same
As they always remain

[Chorus]
Come on guys
Sun is shining
Don't blame her
Until she's crying
And don't say
"Different strokes for different folks"

Come on guys
Love her all the time
Don't squeeze her out
Like a lime
And don't say
"Different strokes for different folks"

the drums are playing right
that's funny. Epic song, with a lot of daring ideas. The mix is loud and clear, with the voice perfectly placed.

hey hey hey
Love the vocal styling and the backups - really great backup decisions - cool lazy, loping tune, sneering and sincere at the same time in a kind of Brit pop way. That goofy/serious dynamic really works for the song - the simple but catchy melody enables you to pull off some improbable lyrics and the breaks keep the listener on the hook - love the random guitar notes here and there - almost thought you were going to break into the intro of Sweet Home Alabama - tasty!

Your
vocals are lovely, my friend!
Have you tried to use a set of drums which would sound more "human" than electronic?
It would make the song sound even greater!

so first of all thanks for your comment.
and yes i ever wanted to have real drums in this and i have got a little sister, who plays the drums but she is'nt very good in it...so i would rather take the electronic drums...and she alwayz cries when she did something wrong! omg i hate that

Echt gut!
A good song - and well arranged. Good lyrics too. You look maybe 17 in your pic, and this is the sort of song that people your age (maybe a bit younger) would enjoy a lot.

A production note: the kick drum sounds like its clipping to me, which really distracts when it happens. I think I'd be looking at the drum track and trying to sort the kick out as well as maybe make it a little more interesting (you seem to be using the same loop most of the song).

That's just a few nits - it is a good song and worth spending some more time on.

the truth is not that i'm 17, i'm 14 wow never thought that anyone would ever say i look like 17 ! cool!

and yeah i'm not so into drums the thing that counts for me mainly are vocals and guitars. but i will look to improve the drums a little bit. oh and that the drums are clipping...it comes from the overdrive i put on them so that they have little more power...but i'll look to imrove them a little bit...

thank you so much for commenting would be intersted what you think about my second song...

14 eh!
OK - for 14, this is VERY good! We probably have some generation differences, but music is music, and you are talented for sure.

About the drums, maybe the overdrive wasn't the best thing to use to thicken them up. I'm assuming they are straight loops (ie not midi loops), in which case the best way to thicken them is perhaps to double track them (ie copy the drum track and paste it in another track) then pan each a little (one right one left) with a slight delay on one. You could also double them and use different EQ settings on each.

As you are so young, and seem to have a pretty good grasp of recording and playing, it might be worth having a look at midi drums sometime. I use them on my recent posts at MJ, and they give a lot of room to develop something that is individual. You can separate the kick, snare, hihats and other stuff pretty easily and get the sound just the way you want it on each.

I'm sure you won't want your drums to sound like mine, but I think you might see a solution to your drum sound problems in midi. It takes a long while to get it right, but worth the time. If you are interested I can send you some links to midi drum pages.

It seems like you have a future in music.

Herzliche Grüße aus Australien!

ok then i will first try to double the drums...
hope i can do that (i've never done that before, but it doesn't sound difficult). yeah and i would be very interested in some good links cause this would be very cool to work with this...i only took some loops and boosted them with crashes and so on...that was all i did in each song...so i would be very pleased if you could send me the links.

and as you said before i really want to have future in music business. when i'm 18 and i did the general qualification for university entrance i will move to New York to study music production...i'm very excited...and then i'll try to get a record contract...or maybe found my own label (??) but i don't know if that would really work =)

about 3 weeks ago i started to play the guitar and i think i do that really good (i teached it myself)...i just recorded 3 songs with my new guitar. and sun is shining is one of them.. also tragic death...so i think i'll have to learn much more...(i will get logic studio in a few weeks) yippie!!!

so i just have to say thanks for your comments and helping me at music production thank you very much!!!

oh one question: do you speak german free flowing???

Pretty effing impressive.
I guess it is part of the convention to use American swear words in lyrics. Excellent start. Quite a lot of talent shining forth. I wish you well in having all your dreams realized. Enjoyed your song. Thanks.
