Nice-
Great contrast between the sections. Lots of energy and color. There's a strange 'wah-wah' effect (not a technical term) from headphone to headphone at several points in the piece that was a bit distracting, but otherwise, a great listening experience.

Welcome to MacJams!

Never noticed the wah-wah effect mabe its coming from panning on the 8 track recording? thanks for checking it out.

PS I listened to a few of your songs. You are an AWESOME flute player!!! I just got a couple recorder type flutes given to me I hope to learn how to play very soon :) Holley :)

Hi
Thanks Kassia! I wrote this when I lived in West Virginia back in 2001 just a day before 9/11. I spent a summer working at a white water rafting resort called "ACE". The New River Gorge is such a beautiful place and was a big inspiration to many ideas back then! I have yet to finish it but liked it as a stand alone as well. Thanks for listening! Holley :)

Very nice!
I once had a 12 string and just tuning it regular was hard enough! I can't imagine drop tuning but then again I'm a guitar tuning whimp. Always hated tuning.

I agree with Mr Feter... I could totally hear a deep mellow bass kicking in and a soulful female vocal taking off... I'd love to see you add to this piece!

Thanks Mark
Glad you liked it. I am not sure what I am gonna with this song yet I am thinking of a flute solo might be really cool with this song.

wow... very nice...
Love the rhythm in this, and fun twists in the chords... very resonant sound on that guitar, rich recording picks it up nicely. Welcome to Macjams!

Enjoyed
Nice contrast between strumming a picking. LIke the airy feel. The sixties type of rock acoustic sound. Almost like a Crosby Still and Nash feel. But of course your own style.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Tiler!!
CSNY I have to say is big on my list of influences. I have heard by several they hear a little Led Zepplin in this as well. Holley :)

CSNY
Reminds me of Dejavu with the drop tuning. Very cool. Throw a four part harmony on this one and the next thing you know it's CSNY&H. Nice playing

Interestingly .....
.. I am hearing remnants of "young man take a look at your life ... I'm a lot like you were ... NEIL YOUNG" .... maybe that's the Canadian in Me ... still a very nice acoustic !
