What a lovely, enjoyable and different interlude. I can imagine listening to this and other similar stories on the radio. You are definitely a born entertainer. Cheers Len Check out my latest song called Dodgy Doughnut

Butte and Boseman, tale of 2 cities... Absolutely love your story-telling, and I hope you don't mind if I sit here and take notes about delivery technique. Very simple, straight-talking style story, eloquently and personally told. If you're ever in Southern California, don't you dare sit in the car... come on in and I'll whip up two sandwiches right away for both of you! Love it! ttfn, Drakonis Check out my latest song called Temporal Tantrum (Sister Savage Mix)

cool story You are indeed a good story teller. Easy to listen to and keep your audience's attention. We used to read "Hank the Cowdog" stories to the kids, I wish I could have delivered them so well... . - Harold Check out my latest song called Kanun Oud Rock (LIOLI9)

Hank Now you got me curious about "Hank the Cowdog". I'm going to look that up. My biggest inspiration hands down is "Bullwinkle" Paul frees, Bill Scott and the crew. That stuff gets funnier every time I watch it. Thanks for the encouragement. Check out my latest song called My Rose

And don't forget the G R E A T June Foray. Those cartoons are on heavy rotation at my place; my kids sit stone-faced while I laugh my ass off! BTW, good song. Check out my latest song called LIOLI 9 (Interlude)

Driveway story man thank you so much for stopping by my site and leaving a cool comment on one of my songs because it caused me to visit and listen to this. what a GREAT story. You have the perfect voice for this type of thing. A while back NPR ran a bunch of stories that they called "driveway stories", meaning that if you arrived home before the end of the story you'd want to sit in your car and listen to the end. This is totally a driveway story. Love the charley pride reference that was funny. Check out my latest song called Quick Hearted Boy (A Cowboy Ballad, with Funk)

I have to get to all the other things you've posted, and I will... Ed Check out my latest song called After Loving Anne (w/jiguma, SISTERS, Komrade K and Scott Carmichael)

I'm from montana.... I don't know too many dudes like festus, but Butte isn't exactly the pride and joy of Montana. Bozeman's cool, but Billings is the best for music. Next time you pass thru drop a note and I'll hook you up with the music loving establishments, so many right now, it's unbelieveable for a town barely 100,000. Go here to book a night at this place if your passing between Denver and Spokane! They love musicians..... http://www.yellowstonevalleybrew.com/Calendar/2008/Index.htm Check out my latest song called Chillaholic

Big Sky Too bad Butte unwelcomed you. But the decency of "but we know it's good," is typical of my old home state. Bozeman and Missoula would both welcome you. I had a similar experience-- after a time away on the west coast, I was roadtripping with a girlfriend from Chicago to S.F. through Montana in her Miata. We pulled into a diner in a town called Alberton. I was wearing her rainbow colored pajama pants and she was wearing a t-shirt of mine that had airbrushed boobs on it. We both looked like two days on the road and smelled like backseat antics. The breakfast crowd in tractor clothes just looked at us when we walked in. The waitress actually asked us to get our food to go. I thought that was hilarious... Check out my latest song called Capsicum

Just a natural you are. Great story telling skills. You must of had a Grandparent telling you stories as a kid, with all that expression in your voice.
Heck, I could just visualize one of these sessions with you sitting in a big comfy chair, in a living room, telling your story. You must have nieces and nephews that just can't wait for you to arrive on the holidays to tell one more of your stories.
You've probably done some plays too I imagine.
An all round natural talent you have.
