Description
This is a work in progress.
It was inspired by MidiOrleans' arrangement of Barrios Mangore's "La Catedral Preludio," a beautiful piece.

Both because I can't quite pull of his arrangement, and because I wanted to funkify it a little, I rearranged the sheet music quite a bit.
I also was reminded in MidiOrleans' arrangement of this Japanese scale, one of the first I learned on guitar: EFABC.
It's simple, but played a certain way it's hypnotic. I tried to convey that in this piece.

Good Feel
Nice groovy feel to this tune. I liked the overall riffs used, but would cut back on the secondary one that goes do-dee-do-dee-dododo, if that makes any sense, and use it once in awhile.

Nice going.

funkify
I like that word. Good sounds, too. I especially like that flute in combination with the electronic sounds. Keep on progressing with this - you have a great start.

funkify fun
yeah, i hear a lot of funk in classical music. in a way, flamenco helped me realize that. the rhumba really takes those wonderful soaring classical elements, mashes in some moorish tight scale work and shakes it up with a gypsy rhythm. i like to try and make mixes like that with electronic music. i love music that makes me bob my head to the rhythm and still hear a nice, thoughtful melodic idea.

I like making beats. The kind of beats I aspire to make are generally funky, dirty, spacey, and largely hip-hop or electronica related. You will also be hearing more flamenco from me, both electronic and classical, as I continue to get a better gras... [see more]
