Description
This mix came about through me purchasing the commercial version of the Helix synth. The free version has been part of many of my mixes over the last 12 months.
I've been playing with the synth since Friday and through listening to the presets and playing with the settings myself I have a few ideas for new concept pieces of music. This is the first mix of the first new idea.
The idea is of a peaceful choral setting with, in this version, synths playing chaotic and widely spaced phrases and the two sequences repeating with the faster sections modifying their phrasing as the sequence proceeds.
The final version should be classical all the way through. We'll see how long it takes me to get there.
The picture painted as the back drop to the piece is a civilisation observed through a microscope. The different magnifications are the different sections of the piece.
