Description:
Bud first posted this up a couple of weeks ago. Sir John Libby passed it onto me and i pass it onto you. Bud's excellent vibe was great to play along with, i tried to keep it up beat and merry, so i added the Eurovision element to it. The first sample is an Italian meat slicer to keep it in context, i was going to mix that with an old English nursery rhyme " Oranges and Lemons " but i could not find a decent example. Recently, the UK entry was shrouded in controversy because of sarcastic remarks made by one of the UK compares. All very surreal.

Wow Steve
This is great - I never really imagined the tune had this much potential. You and KT did an excellent job on this. I love the samples and added instruments. Nice lead and rhythm guitar work and KT really spiced up the drums and keys - love the clav. Great collab - cool mix.

italian meat slicer qualifies
as an euro slicer. me likes the the sound of that guitar, is that the SG 2000? Bud set this one up so well, and your production and guitar wizardry push it even further. You shred ever so nicely over that clav part towards the end.

What a joke
that Eurovision is - it's only Terry Wogan that makes it worth watching.
Absolutely love the way you have taken buds great groove with KTB's added goodness and then just lifted it even higher. Great stuff.
Cheers
Len

Just...
...brilliant!

Great dubby mix here Steve - always impressed by the depth of sound you are getting - 'specially on Buds bass. The guitars are floaty and ambient, but still gritty. I like the whole vibe - and nice to hear Terry in the mix! Very cool job indeed, the dogs bollocks - you could say!

Good groove
This sounds really nice. Good mix.

But until you get to the samples it's too much chord spinning for me. It's all (very) well played, but there's nothing that sticks in my memory.

The vocal snippets at the end are fun.

Stanky...
Me smiled and shook me head while working it into a, "yeaaaH... they got it goin on this time" head bob. You guys be doin the groove thing way deep in the pocket and, we be diggn' it.

Sounded like you've all been doing this sort of thing together and seemingly, forever.

Tight...

Just enough funk action...

Just enough ragged rock action...

Just enough ethereal mix to dismount my sense of earthly existence... I think I'm kinda okay like this...

Good one, fellas. Thanks

Dion
