Very creative and fantastic vibe, as usual, Len. Nice vocals on both parts and I loved those lead sounds going on at the beginning.
lengold
of you to listen and comment Wiily. Becca has a fantastic voice, please check out her stuff, if you get the chance.
Thanks again.

Vic Holman
excellent tune I was really digging the tribal beat for starters.
the trade off and the effected vocals are chariasmatically confident.
fantastic work by all involved.
lengold
Really pleased you liked this Vic - thanks for your continued support. It is very appreciated.
Cheers
Len
Diviner
Loved it from the start. The drums are great and the rest of the music sits so well. Really impressed, I think this one is the best produced track so far. The only only thing against this tack is the sudden finish, however that is so small compared to the rest of the track. The vocals are really good and well sung, both by you and of course Becca. Brilliant track Len.
lengold
much for the great comments Keith - I think that Becca's voice really helped too. I always have a problem with the ending of songs, nothing seems to work very well.
Thanks again.
Cheers
Len
DWL
Fantastic, what a start!
Where does that big guitar sound come from?
Becca's voice is simply excellent and works really well with your spoken/declamatory style.
I loved the short "interludes" where you introduce new sounds.
Amazing creativity and invention :)
Downloaded.

Probably the kit and beat you have going here - but this reminds me of a Native American Rock style. Cool stuff, Len. Becca's vox are a nice touch-
DL'd.... Thanks

lengold
to not knowing much about Native American Rock - but I would love to hear some.
Love it when people download. Thanks Harold.

The beat is very hypnotic. Your's and Becca's vocals compliment each other VERY well. Really a fun listen.
I was snapping my fingers all the way through.
Great collab guys!
Awesome stuff for sure.
lengold
Really pleased you liked this Chris. I agree that our voices do go well together - a bit like beauty and the beast.
Thanks for the comment - really appreciated.

Henke
Really, this got to be an MJ hit.
I can hear a bit of BigFinish in this, although it's slightly tougher in style then that, but still very nice. Well done!
/Henke
lengold
take the BigFinish comparison as a big compliment. Really pleased you liked this.
Thanks for the comment - appreciated.

Love that beat. Great original, tasty sounds. Becca's vox were a nice accessory to this driving tune.
Lead was soooo cooool.
Great one Len,

I am really pleased that I asked Becca to sing on this - it was an on the spur thing as we were together last weekend. I really love her voice.
Thanks for your support - appreciated.

its another smash and grab tune, like it man! Great husky voice box, with splendid lyrics. Great tune Len, what effect you put on your vox? Got to upgrade to logic 8.
lengold
Yes, you must upgrade - it really is worth it. I had 7 of my vocal tracks and 3 of Becca's each with a ridiculous amount of plug-ins. Together with the many instrument tracks again all with lots of plug-ins. Even my mac pro with 6GB was really struggling and kept freezing on me. So, too many effects all at once.
Thanks again Steve. Really pleased you liked it.
Cheers
Len

Nice low end sound...Im an fan of Logic myself. Real nice melody. Ima fan!!!
lengold
Really pleased you took the time to listen and comment Steve - love the stuff you are doing lately.

Thumpin' drums, snakey lead guitar, snarky lyrics, vocals dripping with attitude. What's not to love.
lengold
to see you here Kristyjo - thanks a lot for the nice comment.

into this, it got a great big smile. Imaginative and some good chops make this a fun tune. Quit a cross cut of genre and expressions and so very true.
Keep rock'en and don't stop.
The Infinites
A 1' 40" intro of that standard? - you know you're in for a treat. Great big hypnotic beat with that OTT guitar sound makes my kind of music. Love the sentiment of your lyrics and that addition of Bex's voice is totally appropriate and in at the right places. Then at 3'40" more gigantic guitar to remind us where we started. This song flies by and feels a lot quicker than the total playing time shows. Always a good sign.
Solid piece of work, Len. Did anyone mention Zappa in the house...?
Cheers!

Very pleased to see you here Richard and many thanks for the very encouraging comment. I will have to get a rock'en chair soon.

lengold
Jim - really pleased you liked it. This one seemed to take a lot longer than usual. Instead of rushing with it - I spent a lot of time just tweaking - it seems to have paid off. I am usually just too impatient to get them finished. I love Becca's voice.
Thanks for the Zappa comparison - very pleased with that, used to be a big fan.
Always happy when someone downloads too. Thanks again Jim. I'd love to buy you a GandT - ever get to London?
Cheers
Len

Big Respect,

No THANK YOU.
I think that you really lifted the song - I love your voice.
Really pleased you liked the way it turned out. Maybe we should do a proper duet some time.
See you soon - I hope.

Doadars Uncle
Talking Heads with a Tom Waits theme.
Great environment! Cool song. Aside from the great theme, I really like the vocals and guitar parts. This has a complex feel to it, dark.
Well done!
lengold
happy that you liked this Doug. It's a song that just seemed to evolve on its own. Really appreciate the comment - thanks.

Bob Rodgers
This is fantastic, great song Len!
I love the hugh sound here, the drums, bass and your guitar work is just superb!
The vocals from you and Becca are just great and they really compliment each other, everything goes together so well.
Great sound and production, you are so creative and this is my favourite song from you.
A download for me!
Thanks Len!
Bob
lengold
for some of the nicest comment I've ever had. I think that Becca really brought this alive.
Hope to see you soon and thanks again.

tempie
- the intro gives you a look and the next thing you know the tune is grinding on your leg.
this tune is a veritable bag of rock 'n roll tricks - girl/guy vocals, distorted backups, dirty groove, howling guitars, big percussion, paranoid lyrics - love it!
lengold
So nice to think of it 'grinding on your leg' conjures up quite an image.
Really appreciate the comment from a song writer of your ability.
Thanks Craig.

Firstly I also think that combining the seemingly quite opposing styles of Becca and your good self was quite mad .. but yet, you both managed to really make it work- the contrast is really very appealing... and fitting to the song.
Secondly, the rocky opening (I thought of Twisted Sister for a sec) turning into more tribal: "I eat cannibals" .. lol kinda drumming, and synth usage- awesome.
Guitar adds that rockier/funky edgyness- extra spice to the big cooking pot .. the solo serves the song (if you added a little wild wahing .. would have reminded me of earlier Prince)... another class addition.
Only additions I would suggest are to end that wicked funky 80s breakdown section with a short dead-stop before continuing into the short outro/fade (around 5:19) .. perhaps a short reversed vamp or just snare perhaps to bridge the gap. And, perhaps to re-look at how your effecting your voice: I'd ease of a little on the kinda megaphone-esque touch in general.. and perhaps just a very short echo/reverb/delay .. I liked the variation at the 3:04 section (but I don't mean as much as that for the verses).
Most impressive and accomplished upload I've heard from you Len by far.. alot of hard work went into this and it's paying dividends... no idea why I got a mention, but if I helped in some way for you to produce this fine example of your work .. I'm well chuffed, thanks my friend and thanks for the copy I now have :o)
lengold
Thank you for your wonderful comments Alan, really appreciate the advice too.
When you are listening to your own stuff alone at home, you sometimes need to reach out for some advice and confirmation of what you are already thinking.
Thanks for letting me reach out.

Love this. The drums are excellent, and the lyrics are expressive and very well crafted. Nice mix of sounds throughout. The vocals are really done well (by you both!) and the mix is great. Very cool. Totally should be on the radio! Nicely done, my friend. Kudos. Peace.
lengold
seeing you here David, I am so pleased that Becca sang on it - she really has a lovely voice.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to hear your song on the radio - a bit like winning the lottery.
Thanks for the lovely comments and your continuing support.

Go_Turtle_Go
you took your skills a step further. lot of changes and boldness, i have no other word for the latter feeling. one of my old friends would so dig this (and thus I). good violin stabs, wicked guitar playing and becca sounds very convincing and sexy. whoa track!
Go_Turtle_Go
one point of critique, is the snares. i think they are overcompressed, i do know that is your forte. so my mind sticks to the first comment.
lengold
Great to hear from you Marc - I really hope things are still good for you. So pleased you liked it and thanks for the great comments. I will re-think my snare sounds. Hope to hear something from you soon. All the best.

...hee hee...
It brought thoughts to a mindless state...
It made my body move when I really didn't feel like it.
As tired as I am, it energized me in ways that clearly, I couldn't have imagined.
Thanks Len and Becca! Yeah..., it even encouraged me to comment though, I had fully committed to the shameful and unthinkable, a drive by...
You always throw down, Len
Macca
lengold
So pleased you didn't just drive by (I know how tempting it gets) Macca - you are one of my very favourite commenters - always amusing.
Isn't it about time we heard something new from you. I miss hearing your great productions.
Many thanks.

I'm ashamed to say that I haven't visited your pages nearly enough Len - for which apologies. This is incredible! What a big sound - sounds like it's been produced by Trevor Horn for an old ZTT band - really massive 80's funk sound, and as others have said, the dual vocals work superbly.
Really great stuff! The "told you once' refrain is magic -
Phil
lengold
The 'told you once' refrain from Becca is also my favourite part - she really is massively talented. She just sings it once, absolutely effortlessly, and the mic captures the magic.
So pleased you did visit Phil - very appreciated.

five_extra_arms
Len, I really love your guitar work on this little number. You got all leady on us. Cool.
Becca's vocals are really wondermous. What a great team effort.
You always have this primal rhythmic sense and this is proof positive of that gift. I always said that Vic Holman would be my drummer if I had a band, but maybe I'll have 2 drummers? Just a thought.
Thanks for a energetic and fantastic tune.
Bob
lengold
She can sing, that's for sure.
You know, you are the only one that picked up on that (maybe subconciously) there are actually two drum kits playing. I've always loved bands with two kits and always been a frustrated drummer - I'd love to be one of the two drummers in your band. I used to like the drums in a British band fronted by someone not now mentionable. Don't know if he was known in the States.
Thanks, as always, for the listen Bob and take care.
Cheers

wow wow. deep and heavy, full and lush sound. awesome guitars and great beats. I loved that long intro, then when the vocals kick in...wow. incredible stuff. the mix/production on this is perfect. Total download for the ipod.

of you to leave such a lovely comment Shay - very appreciated. Very happy to think I might be on your ipod.

You are really developing a recognisable sound - the "bigness" of this sounds great (isn't Logic Pro 8 a buzz!). Love the guitars, bass and percs especially. Interesting vocally/lyrically.
Like it a lot Len!

lengold
you liked it Neil. I seem to be obsessed with Logic at the moment. The more I learn the more I need to learn.

Creative piece of work. Some cool bit and pieces happening. A little bit long for my taste. Wouldn't mind hearing a shortened, tighter version of this. Took a long time to get to the vocals and lots of instrumental in between. Nice work guys.
lengold
Macjams David - listened to a couple of your tracks on myspace and looking forward to hearing them here.
Thanks for the listen, comment and critique - appreciated.
