Description:
A free form piano etude...I was listening to a piano concerto by Arthur Degreef (19th c. romantic...obscure, but amazing!) and his music called this piano fantasy from my subconscious. So, blame it on him! (I hope a few people will listen to this. If you like it, tell your friends.) Hardware:
Roland RD-700 midi controllerSoftware:
Synthogy's German Steinway from the Ivory collection |

what else is lurking in that subconscious there ?? As always a wonderful offering. Paul ... do you have those magic fingers insured ? The Synthogy software is a dream sound ... I can close my eyes and you are right here in the room and somehow I have acquired a wonderful piano for you to play on. I wonder how they got it through the door ????

This is beautiful. Thank you.
And the piano sounds particularly German .

Lots of Liszt here, Paul. Beautifully done, and your muse was obviously visiting when you composed and performed this.
Composing in a minor key is rewarding. There seem to be so many more directions you can go in a minor key, rather than major. And you have exploited them with an expert touch.

and so are your fingers. You have a great catalog of musical styles at your disposal, and you play with such apparent ease. This displays some wonderful romantic style passion and emotion. The German Steinway is a marvelous choice to really enhance this. Ahhhh Wonderful.

This was a palette cleanser for me. The lithe and springy right hand made me shut my eyes and watch the colours collide. The dynamics here are delightful... and your timing is impeccable.
De Greef? Friend of Grieg no... or Liszt perhaps? Certainly will look into him after hearing this. Delightful!

I hope everyone gets to hear this, and through headphones. Amazing beauty and skill conveyed through the keys.

...these piano fantasies...an'...when I wake up...they're in my MacJams account...
I have never yet gotten used to how startlingly, naturally GOOD the Ivory collection sounds. I have also not gotten used to what you can bring forth from that rich subconscious of yours...
I don't know whether to consider this a composition or an improvisation, but I think it's one of my favorites among your offerings...
And congratulations on the new CD!

...the old days, when you'd post something of this quality without even an appropriately vibrant graphic...and NOW look at you!
Mind you, we've got to teach you to embed those graphics in the mp3, but all in good time...
