Description:
Not a cover of the song by Tenacious D. A dedication to Birdman Wayne who actually took the time to learn one of my songs and post it on youtube. Thanks Yeman! |

some really cool chord changes that pleasantly surprised me, like at 1:11 and 1:53 and 3:13, then such a slick ending to cap off this beautiful piece..
DL'd, Thanks so much.

Dick.Maybe I should record one of my atonal/noise extravaganzas to see if I can disappoint some people.

This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
I've been to your artist page and listened to an earlier piece: I will definitely be spending some more time enjoying your music. I look forward to it.

never ceases to amaze me Mark. Lovely recording with pristine sound and near flawless playing.
Wonderfully done my friend.
Ed
Ibstrat
Ed. I would of course prefer to play this on acoustic...

...that I really like about you Mark, is that amazing combination of a dry, near acid wit with one heck of a big heart... And FASHION SENSE, don't get me STARTED on FASHION SENSE...
This reminds me once again of some of The Lady And The Unicorn, when Renbourn is playing Renaissance tunes on the electric...
I hope Yeman loves it. I sure do.

Ed's are better than one. Thanks for the comment, I'm glad that you appreciate my fashion sense- I've been working really hard on it.

as always. This to me sounds like a Christmas tune.
Elegant performance. This really fits my mood today.
Thanks for sharing and the download.
Beautiful.

I'm a big fan of your rock and metal playing.Glad you liked the song.
LunaTrick
Nice round tone - and use of picardy phrase ending!
Ibstrat
the picardy third- always a good choice if you can't think of anything else to do.Thanks for the comment!
jiguma
Great sounds - what are you using for an amp?
Playing is as good as ever.
Cheers from Oz,
Neil
Ibstrat
not an amp.(I don't have a mic) It's a line 6 Toneport.Thanks for the comment!
ziti
inspiration and motivation
you are a master
Ibstrat
haven't come close to mastering the guitar. After seeing you play last night I should start calling you master!
AcetyleneJukebox
Beautiful composition. Has real Baroque character with a touch of jazz.
Ibstrat
for the comment.Jazz and classical guitar have one thing in common- you'll go baroque playing either one.
HenriROGERsoloandbands
Wonderfull music . Soft playing all along with a great control of bass notes volume .
Ibstrat
Henri- really enjoyed your recent guitar video!
mowguy3

I appreciate your checking out my song!

Another one of your beauties. I would be very interested in your discovery process with this one, how it came about and if it was over a long period of time. A combination of themes?
Anyhow, the result is a brilliance of chordal sensitivity.
Ibstrat
I wrote it in two days messing around in between students.Yeman's video got me thinking about writing a classical type piece.Glad you liked it!
Vic Holman
cool tune.
great playing as always. i really like the descending lines. a very classical sound!
Ibstrat
pretty sure that I broke some counterpoint rules but I kind of forgot most of the rules anyway!

Beautiful. Glad to have found this, it is so right for calming down to at the end of a long day.
Ibstrat
for the comment!

young tanagers these days... oops, I mean teenagers!
Mark, this is a gorgeous composition, and beautifully played. But, the recording is missing a bit of sparkly high-end, which makes this sound a little like an amped guitar I think... not sure, I sort of think it would sound better with a little more treble clarity.
Here's to Yeman, and Mark, a couple of wonderful people!

my daughter tells me that is a prothonetary warbler-not a tananger so your joke is for the birds. You are probably right about the high end- I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!
VicDiesel
This is bit less jazzy than a lot that you write. More like classical harmonies?
I really to download a bunch of your tunes. I'm sure they go great with some wine and Camembert.
Ibstrat
reminds me of "Wallace and Grommit" the best claymation shorts I've ever seen.Nice to know that you enjoy my music.
Studioplayer
Nice tone on that guitar. Sounds really pleasant. Nice laidback listen. Good playing.

Ibstrat
Bud.Always appreciate your input.

What an excellent tribute. Love the chord changes, often unexpected, but never discordant or jarring. Lovely sound from the guitar, and beautiful playing as ever. Nicely done, and sorry it's taken me so long to get here! Kudos. Peace.
Ibstrat
to hear from you thanks.

Listening to this one early December morning, cold weather outside, drinking my cup of morning coffee. What a perfect start of the day.
Thanks:)
Ibstrat
glad you liked the song.

...so sorry...this is great. Wonderful theme. I've mentioned Sylvius Leopold Weiss, before...but I shall do so again. One of my favorite composers and I think he'd have loved this.
Nice dedication, Mark. Wonderful piece.
Ibstrat
I guess I can forgive you this one time just don't ever do it again!
Actually I think there are some parallel 5ths/octaves in there so Weiss probably would have chased me out of the room with his lute.
