Description:
Stayed home today cause Lisa had to go into the city and it's rare I get time alone. Sp here it is - 22 tracks of madness. I should probably sleep on it - and then think better of releasing it - but there's this weird thing that happens 2/3 in that gives it it's title. One of those instances where you hear something and have no idea how it got there. I hear voices - but there aren't any. Uh - perhaps this is too much info.Anyway - this is DOD drum loops with bass and guitar and few orchestral hits just for fun. Kinda James Bond on X. I used Audacity to slow down and reverse some solo guitar - and had fun with the Line 6 Gear Box for the bass and guitar tones. As usual - Danelectro 59 DC guitar and Ibanez Roadstar II bass. Listen on phones with some volume. Hardware:

you know this would great as racing video game track. when it gets the that 2/3 the way through it brings to mind Primus. .... well, it does.
bud
and I never noticed it was there before. Primus - that chaotic part that sorta sounds like music? Thanks Vic - high praise.
Ejh
...that I would've liked that.
But I like that...
And now I'm listening again...

come back Ed...come back Ed.

Man ....................you really have the great
sence of hard drivin rockin set ever !!!!!
ROCK ON !!!
bud
BTW - you're slowing down a little. lol
lengold
the voices too.
This is like a runaway train - feels like its speeding up all the time - but not. Could be used in a car chase film. Great fun and listen.
Cheers

bud
time for a reality check. Nice of you to stop by.
The Infinites
Give (sell) this to Tarantino - he'd put it to good use as the heist goes all wrong....
Not only do I hear voices, but I see pictures. Love the pace and the single note guitar over those killer beats. Remember Focus - 'Sylvia', 'Hocus Pocus' etc? If you chose an appropriate point to stop and yodel 'Nya nya nya naaa naaa naaah' then you'd have been right up there with them. Love a good instruMENTAL, me!
Good luck on the Monday - wish I could be there. Will you get to record it? Will someone do film/photo? Hope so.
Nice one!

wish you could make the show - it would be great to see your smiling face out there.

Weird shit going on in there without a doubt :-)

the house of weird shit - and thanks for paying us a visit.
Karmatoburn
insane jam. Kinetic, and very Bond like. Love the solo's, yet some of my favorite parts are where some of the heat reflective tile starts to peel off the rhythm section. Smokin jam. A day could not be better spent
bud
now where are the Bond girls?
five_extra_arms
...on all your songs, that's why we love 'em!
This does have that racing secret agent feel to it. There's definitely a vile of biological matter or a microchip involved.
I think you play guitar better in reverse than anyone I know.
bud
BTW - it's the same lead forwards and backwards. The backwards one is slowed down 50% and an octave lower. Audacity fun.

W O W -- tons of energy here!
i heard "sort of voices" voices starting on :33 - but i hear voices a lot. 8-)
at :55 i thought you were going to break into the Secret Agent theme!
i also hear voices at 2:23... that must be what you meant.
i think i hear an organ with auto filtering on it, perhaps that's where it's coming from. cool effect in any case!
thanks
bud
There is no organ - the "voices" towards the end come from three guitar tracks bass and drums with no special effects besides amp modeling. Just one of those weird moments when harmonies and distortion cry out to be understood.
TG
So much to digest, Multiple listens are in order, cool mean guitars
bud
and take the time to comment.
Re-al
Solid sounds. Deep brick-shit solid.
Any chance that you might get a voice on this? It deserves it.
that said - it stands up well as a "punch in the face" tune.
bud
would have to open up and make room - a bit crowded at the moment. Thanks for your comment.
Bad Smells
enjoyed!

This was a great way to spend your day at home. With 22 tracks laid down in one day, I'm not surprised you heard voices!
bud
I got greedy.
egobandit
then slippin some more while the room spins out of control and you wonder where the exit is! excellent!
bud
Thanks for slippin by.

This is very cool. There's definitely a hint of insanity (but in a good way!) and the lead is very cool. Percussion is excellent (I love Vic's idea of a video game soundtrack) and, by the way, I hear the voices. Does that make me strange? Or normal? Very cool. You should stay home more often! Nice one. Peace.
bud
normal. Thanks.

bud
really enjoyed your latest as well.

I echo the Primus analogy. Just needs a slap-happy bass maniac. I am cranking this on my Mackies (wife is out, so the headphones come off...JOY!) This thing is rocking me OUT! Bud, incredible. This is an instant download. Gonna listen to this when I'm running tomorrow. Phew! It's over.....

slap bass - I guess I'm just not funky enough. Glad to take a run with you - where we going?
jiguma
.. what can happen when you have some time to yourself :)
This just gets better and better the further in you get - reminiscent of Hendrix - "don't throw that cigarette butt out the window" (can never remember the name of that song).
:)
bud
nice of you to drop by. Hendrix? Wow.
jiguma
its mainly the drums and the general mayhem that's going on. "The stars that plays with laughing Sam's dice" - that's the one.
:)
guitapick
...of the loops...live feel...the guits are smokin'...

out. SOLID!
