This is a very whistle-able tune, which makes me wonder if you first started whistling this, then ran over and scored it into MIDI to capture it, then wrote the tuba part? That's sometimes what I wind up doing... and your iTuna idea has me realizing that I'm making up tunes often, and most of them slip away forgotten the next day. I'm not quite ready/able to devote days or a month to capture them, but I'm getting more anxious to try to capture at least a few, thanks to your idea here, thanks!
I love the interplay between the piccolo and tuba, very enjoyable tune and counterpoint.

iTuna is great for the creative muses. It makes you be open every day to new tunes. Once you give yourself permission to write crap, the tunes flow easily. When the month is over, I'll listen again and do some quality control but for now it's write, write, write.

Thanks, all, for listening and commenting! I wrote the piccolo part first using a whistle. The tune is in the key of G so the whistle practically plays itself and is more on pitch than my whistling would be. I have a tiny voice recorder to capture phrases if I think I won't be able to remember them long enough to type them into PrintMusic (simplified Finale). PrintMusic has a playback feature and you can save the files as mp3 so that's what I uploaded here. No Garageband this time. I prefer acoustic real instruments and hope to recruit a tuba player soon to play this with me. They love giving piccolo players a bad time so it shouldn't be too hard. I tried to add a percussion part on snare drum (electronically) but that proved too challenging for one day.

TWO interdependent voices! both sound idiosyncratic and fun to play-- LIKE it as two voices, it's rhythmically clear, not sure you really need to add a snare, as it might obscure the two melodic lines which dance together so lightly

I own a 1928 Buescher euphonium (made in Elkhart, Indiana), which is a baritone tuba. If you send me the sheet music for this piece, it may inspire me to practice more often. The later half of the tune seems difficult, but if I learn it, I promise I'll send you a GarageBand file of my live performance.
I feel obliged to practice this piece because of its name.
