Description
This song was an early staple for my band. We played it with both an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar as the main guitar. Either way the second guitar was a wah/funk electric. It had a different sound/feel depending on the choice. We usually also played the acoustic version at a little slower tempo. The song was fun to do. It's fairly simple. "fine" is used in the semi-sarcastic accepting way that you mean when you acquiesce to something you really wouldn't leave that way if you had a choice, but you don't...so it's fine. Sometimes you feel pretty beat up by whatever comes your way and you have to accept. My earlier lyrics were often of this vein, confused and twisted meanings, frustration but paired with acceptance. Just enough edge to make them almost scary, but hopefully still identifiable and accessible. The drums on this version were played by a buddy of mine Rob Willardson. The rest was done by myself. Rob graciously provided performance and rights for this, the CD version from "blue". I thank everyone for listening and as usual I hope to gain some like-minded contacts/friends by sharing what I've been up to. Let me know what you think.
