Description:
I took my H2 to another jam with my friend Jim last Wednesday and got around to uploading the tracks to my computer recently. There were a few keepers and this is the second of two I will be sharing with MacJams.
This one features Jim on lead and myself on rhythm. The song is one Jim showed to me a while ago and I stole the riff to make my own. The song as he plays it is more complex on the rhythm and changes, but I have not figured out the whole song.
You'll be hearing the song the way I play it on rhythm with jim playing some killer lead and melody lines.
It also happens to be the first song I posted on Macjams when I joined up a year ago.
The original is called Brazilian Dirge and can be found here... http://www.macjams.com/song/38737
The other song I posted this week can be considered a companion piece to this one.
It is called Brazilian Sunrise and can be found here.... http://www.macjams.com/song/49092
Thanks for listening,
Brian

Well executed. These acoustic jams are really fine. The recording is really clean too.

the more you jam with the same people the more you gel. It's pretty cool.

That Jim dude sounds like Tim Reynolds in spots. I am a huge Dave Matthews fan and this reminded me of many a concert where the band lays down a groove and the other players have a heyday soloing over it. Another fine one Brian! Nice job holding down the rhythm.
Elevator_Funk
I never thought about Tim Reynolds, but I can hear it in some those super fast arpeggio parts. Good catch. 5 dave concerts for me so far, but none in the past few years.

Yes, especially in the fast phrases Jim sounds like Reynolds. Sort of the same reserved flashiness in spots. I lost track of how many Matthews concerts I've been to. I think somewhere around eight or nine! Always a good time.
