Description:
This track is much more low-key than pretty much any of my others. I thought I would slow things down bit, to start the year off. I like what I have so far, but I'm really fussing over the ending, as it seems to be a little abrupt...or maybe just unfinished sounding. I used Nexus and Omnisphere for the sounds, but I mostly wanted to take a different approach this time around, by trying not to use as much "synthy" voices. I enjoyed getting back to more basic elements as the piano, choral and cello. Hope you all enjoy this non-dance piece. There are no loops in this track. All was written by myself. This one is to just sit back, listen and perhaps contemplate to. Thanks for coming by for a listen. Hope everyone is having a great start to their year.

Perfect chill music. Exactly what I need right now, with going back to the job tomorrow, and many things unfinished here at home. I really like this particular mix of synth and natural sounds. The ending isn't bad, but I can see your point of it feeling unfinished. A coda or other ending would work. It actually sounds like it could loop around to the beginning at that point, and it would work perfectly that way. Just sit and contemplate while Boris's music loops endlessly through space and time...

Many thanks Kristyjo! Glad that I could relax you before the first full week of work since holiday. Good suggestion on the ending of this track. I'll try it and see how it works out (in the end) haha. Anyway, hope you and your family had a great holiday and I wish you a happy and prosperous new year! Thanks much for taking the time to listen and comment!

Really enjoyed this dense track.... your choice of sounds, textures, harmonic structure, and the production sparkles. Nice piano playing too!

Thanks a lot for coming by for a listen! Glad you enjoyed it. I had to play much of the piano in real time, as it would have taken me forever to do it note by note. That would have been a little tedious, even for me. Haha! Thanks again! Take good care!

Really nice stuff. Love the slight orchestral marching feel when everything is humming along. Very pretty piano and soundscape. I agree with you on the ending, sounds like it needs to resolve itself somehow.

Many thanks!

full sounds. i love the choices you made for textures and sounds. this has a wonderful thickness to it that just sort of sucked me in and held on tight as the beats moved around me. a great chill out tune. very cool stuff going on in here - it's going to need lots of listens to find it all.

and playing of this really relaxing piece. Great production too. Endings are always the hardest things.

How good is this? This is amazing. I think that the piano really helps this track go from good to amazing. Really jaw droppingly good. Love the synth sounds as well, however for me the piano is top. Nice one, thoroughly enjoyed.

usually, i dont listen to much ambient, but since my wife works nights, i have been looking for stuff she can sleep by. this one is simply beautiful. soft, soothing, and very emotional. i loved it from beginning to end, thank you for the post.

towards more ambient compositions, that's more like my "home". But you always make such beautiful and crisp sounds whatever you do, so genre isn't that important.
My 2009 didn't start very well, with about a week with no internet (I messed up the installation of a new router and they cut us off...), but now I am catching up. Your music really helped me get my spirits up! Lots of good wishes for your 2009!

I started listening and was going to compliment you on something specific, but by the end of the song, there were just too many things I really liked! I really enjoyed listening to this. Love how all the sounds work together (esp. the violins). While it's repetitive (and that's definitely not a bad thing), it never gets boring. I listened to it 3 times, since the ending left me wanting more. Alright, now I'm downloading it :)

a well thought out piece that moves along swiftly, like a dragonfly in a breeze.
Yes, the ending is abrupt and it would be nicer to give it a few more notes, as the dragonfly hovers and then settles upon a reed in a placid lake. I liked this very much. Thank you. :)
