Description
Here is the very first song I submitted to Macjams, back in October 2004, a month after I joined. For the 2009 MJ Reunion Fest, I dusted it off and updated it with some of the new things I've learned while participating here and soaking up all I can about writing music. Karen (Magnatone) and Shay (Kassia) also helped by giving me last-minute critiques and ideas before I posted this, thank you both! It is not a complete overhaul, but I hope you like this slightly reworked, extended version of my ancient "Rainy March" ( http://www.macjams.com/song/4514 ).
And, here's some of the original description as background:
A "Mythed" opportunity has forced a group of weary warriors to break camp early, and continue their march, now under a dark Spring storm. Partway through the march, they are scattered and injured by a magic lightning bolt, and must find each other, regroup and continue. Inspired by the Macintosh strategy/warfare game "Myth" by Bungie Software. Beware the double entendre, quite a surprising weapon.

Something about the rain and the sound of sadness from a cello just go hand in hand. For a first post this is awesome. Love the horns the subtle thunder in the background. A song like this does well if it evokes imagery and this certainly does that. Marking it as a fav.
