The playing is very good. Like Feter said Stills. I think Stills meets Page. The one thing is I think there's too much panning going on. But, I see what you were going for. Every now and then I could imagine a booming drum coming in. You could do something really cool with this.

The pan in the intro
is great, kind of haunting. Great tone with the instruments with great skill. Later on if the pan went away and the 12 string had more of a solid progression that would lend more of a focus on your fine mando playing. Good track.
Be well, Russ

I really like this
The overall sound is good and interesting. Since this is "in the works" here are some thoughts that come to mind for me. Mainly, I find the L/R panning distracting, but I think it would be good if it didn't pan so far. If it wandered around near center it would probably give a nice wandering feeling without the distraction, and would frame the mandolins better. I think there is a small tuning problem on one of the mandolins, but you already plan to redo those. I love the mandolin my grandfather used to play them a lot. I wish I had one of his but I don't. Eventually some bass would be cool. It would give more depth to the whole piece. There is some bass support coming from the guitar but it would be nice if it were thicker and louder (as in, from a real bass). The phrasing of the 12 string line seems to be the big strength, and is what holds everything together. It works out very well. Great start here. Thanks.

Lovely guitar.
I love that guitar. Also reminds me of of something by CSN. The panning and tuning have been mentioned, and I agree. I think the mandolin could be set farther away, also. And the ending needs some definition. But these are simple mixing issues. The song itself is floating and has motion at the same time. Very nice.
