OK, here's another in my ongoing series of tunes dedicated to animals --- well, this is the first one actually.

Thanks to tokai (Steve West) for useful suggestions on an earlier draft.

Bad Ass
Those puppies look mean. Reg, this is a power play, such a web of sounds that all combine that blow me away. Very impressive production, with such clarity i can hear every note. Beautiful, tones from your JS and sublime playing. The volume peddle work is excellent and the way you combine all your varying sections is a real lesson for me. Serious work, but you still get to laugh at the end. Thanks reg, i have another one of your tunes to listen to at work and in the car.

Well, your comments are certainly overstatements. I hear all kinds of seams. But I decided to send this one on its way, ready or not. It's just a trifle, after all. But, I greatly appreciate that you stopped by for a listen. I always appreciate feedback from musicians of your caliber. Oh yeah, and don't be fooled by the apparent cuteness of those pups. They are badass, man.

Frighteningly good
and every bit as badass as those puppies. I loved the melody and the trills because it is so fast and varied. There's a whole story here and you are a great story teller. It is hard to imagine that you compose these things just like that. Badass! Thanks.

Outstanding!
Lots of nice twists-n-turns in this and the mix sounds fantastic! I'm not really known for leaving detailed comments and usually keep things simple :)

I will say that the intro guitar riff reminded me of a track from Joe Walsh's "Confessor" album. Don't ask me why- maybe it's just the wonderful tone you have on that guitar :P Superb track/skillful playing and a definite download!

smoking guitars
This sounds like a lot of my fave seventies bands like Yes, Rush etc mixed into a big boiling pot of sound soup. Like the way you keep the momentum going, falling back then swelling up again. Very accomplished. The only weak bit for me was the opening - it doesn't sound like the rest of the track and could discourage people who like a bit of prog from listening further. Nice clear production too. Good one.

Talking guitar?
Yeah, well, my guitar was talking the other day, and said to me, "Hey, you should learn to play like this Allen Dean guy." Well, maybe, if I practice six hours a day for the next three years or so. But then, maybe not. You're up there in the stratosphere. Anyway, thanks for your flattering comments. Only the guitar is live. Drums are penciled Addictive Drums. I know you're a helluva drummer, too, so I especially appreciate your comments on the drum track.

heh. i use drums on demand for my drums...
my fave is the upbeat and aggressive series, but i have been using the solid rock loops for my last couple of songs.. and it sounds to me like that guitar of yours is doing some great talking. your structure is fantastic. this site needs more rockers, and i am very gald we found one another.
i still cant get over how cool your drums are... dont know a thing about penciling......
most of my stuff is one-take off the cuff and i try to keep it feeling live...amazing..

those pups
look like a pair NOT to be trifled with. and the song agrees. what an incredible wall of sound. deep and lush and full of energy. it wrapped itself around me and swept me along for the ride. incredible guitar work. i've always wondered how to make paper towels a part of my compositions. maybe you could offer some tips and tricks on those and the doggie treats.

Kassia! No offense, but I'm surprised to see you here. I guess I tend to stereotype people. I would have assumed from your work (the part of it that I've heard, which I admire very much, by the way) that this would not be your cup o' tea. Well, thanks for dispelling my misconception. As for the paper towels and doggie treats ... mmm ... I might be able to drop a few nuggets of wisdom, but I charge exorbitant rates for that kind of premium advice.
