Lyrics
Wherever you are,
I always remember you, love.
Wherever you are,
I never forget
When we first met,
When we first said, “Hello”…
So long ago. I will …
Never forget the first words you said to me:
You held my hand;
You said you were cold.
And I understood that you just wanted me.
You said to me, love,
“Please set me free, love.
Just listen to your heart and you’ll know
How wonderful our love will be
If you open up your heart to me.”

That’s how I remember it, love.
That’s when I knew you loved me.

Though years have gone by,
I’m still always thrilled by you, love.
Whenever you touch me,
I can’t help myself—
I just fall in love all over again with you
Just like I did long ago
When you smiled and told me
You loved me so.
It’s nice to recall
Our first tender kiss
That night long ago
When we pledged our love forever,
When you said to me, love,
“Please set me free, love.
Just listen to your heart and you’ll know
How wonderful our love will be
If you open up your heart to me.”

That’s how I remember it, love.
That’s when I knew you loved me.

Beautiful song Paul
Love songs are almost redundant - in that when we express our love through song we're also expressing the power of love and the power of song at the same time. It's a great double dose - especially in your hands.

Contour
The contour of the melody is very appealing, Paul. You could write for Barry Manilow, and I mean that in the most positive sense. He is much-maligned, but there's no denying his talent, and his ability to deliver a great melody, like this one.

The picture (and the lyrics) remind me of the TV show, "The Wonder Years." I can imagine Kevin and Winnie Cooper running slow motion in field of flowers while this song is playing.

The song is tender and heartfelt, and that's the way I like it! Great work, Paul.

A lovely song Paul
So nice to hear you singing my friend, you have a wonderful voice that's rich and vibrant. I love the subdued feeling of the back track with the little accents from the flute and piano intertwining throughout. Also the power in the string section when you bring up the energy in the melody line. the piece. Very nice ending too Paul, this is a another great bit of work.

very classic and lovely
a beautiful love song. i love your voice, soft and smooth. The piano on this is gorgeous. A gorgeous, lush arrangement of the accompaniment, feeling very spacious and patient. Letting the song breathe. Just lovely.

Show
This has a Broadway show tune quality to it. I really like how you keep strong melodic ideas going, making this a very memorable tune.

btw:
...what a nice picture. I used to have a girlfriend named Ann, when I was that age. We would walk together like that. It's so nice to have songs and pictures like this to remind us of what's really important in this life...
