Description
So this is an updated version of the song Broken that I uploaded recently. I am a lot happier with the mix on this version and most of the vocals have been re-recorded.

Lyrics
i’m broken down
The pieces of my heart
Just bleed ever after

I was your clown
But baby your circus needs
love more than laughter

Remember now?
Dancing, pretending.
Full of half-finished singing

So kiss me now,
And I'll show you forever
As cold as you've shown me

Remember I’ll be here when you change your mind (slowly)
If it’s a matter of trust then I’m sure we'll find it
cause i want this more than
and i need you less than
i did before

I'm just a man,
Built up by your promise
Empty... whatever

How do you suppose?
I take this while smiling,
This pointless surrender

Remember I’ll be here when you change your mind (slowly)
If it’s a matter of trust then I’m sure we'll find it (find it)
cause i want this more than
and i need you less than

cause i want this more than
and i need you less than
(i did before)

Remember I’ll be here when you change your mind
if its a matter of faith then ill pray you find it

Beautifully done Liam
Love the structure and the movement in the song. Love the vocal on it too, especially on the chorus, there's a lot of power there. The whole song has great melody and character to it too.

A few small nits;
One was I had a hard time understanding what you meant on the last two lines of the chorus. it was pretty vague to me.

The other was that the vocal seemed to drop out on words like pretending, or singing, as well as a few other spots to where I wasn't sure what you were saying. If I hadn't had the lyrics I would have missed the meaning in a few places in the song, at least a little bit.

On the last, keep in mind that I am hard of hearing so I lose things like that sometimes. But just in case it wasn't my ears, I thought I'd mention it.

Neither of these things take away from the beautiful job you all did on crafting this song or the wonderful full sound it has. Excellent job on the mix for everything else.

Kudos

Ed

I love this song. It's weird that I do but I do. The chorus is just a masterpiece of beauty and longing. I understand exactly what the last two lines of the chorus mean. It's actually quite profound, simply expressed, and avoids the old song cliche about "needing" someone. You want it more than before, but need it less, meaning that you have grown in the interim, and do not need another to feel complete; you are not weak. Weakness and completion are always poor foundations for a relationship. You want it more, signifying that you have not cooled to the idea, even with the passage of time. Possible resentment and other bad feelings have not eroded your desire. How's that? Anyway, to you and your collaborators, excellent work.

congratulations Dr Bizzle
this by far the best song i've ever heard about go-karting. Strings work well, maybe a (tiny) bit of reverb on the piano. So what bit did Gordy help you with?

very nice
Really nice work. I think the arrangement and layering is just great, full and balanced. It packs a lot of power without going overboard. Beautiful. Though there are a few spots where the vocals could be a bit more on pitch they are overall excellent, very expressive and captivating.

And great lyrics. Getting over needing.
