Description
Trying to keep it simple with just a couple of guitar tracks (OK, 3), one vocal track, bass and drums. Dedicated to my wife. After 40 years and 4 kids, she still looks great…

Lyrics
Take Me There
I know a place where we could run away
And leave the nightmares far behind
Feel the passion for just one day
Live the life we couldn't find
Come on and take me there
She comes down and takes me through the wood
Sunlight filters through the leaves
We keep silent now, that’s understood
The sent of flowers fills the breeze
Why don’t you take me there
Come on and take me there
Come on and take me there
Come on and take me there
Take me where we’ll never be found
I’ll crawl with you like a snake on the ground
I swear to God I won’t make a sound
Cause this is where I know I belong
I feel the heat when I am close to you
Taste the salt upon your skin
I feel more love than I ever knew
I’m higher than I’ve ever been
Why don’t you take me there
Come on and take me there
Come on and take me there
Come on and take me there

I really like the guitar sounds, and the way you've
combined them so they enhance one another. There's
a strong rocky riff and a vocal full of pathos, which is
a lovely contrast. Full of energy and vibrancy. It
sounds just a little trebly on my speakers ... the bass
doesn't sound very deep - but it might just be my
speakers. Great song. And a beautiful gift for your
wife.
