I'm glad you got the 70's reference. It's supposed to be The Eagles and
America (and every other band that sounded like this in the 70's) eat too
many happy mushrooms, slip off the edge of reality and come to their record
label with a new tune about slumber, pizza and there feelings about the
whole situtation.

Pretty close
to what I sing around the house sometimes. This is a priceless tune! I got up the other morning and brained myself with the fridge door and was thinking...I should write a song about this, and damn, you beat me to it. I really like how the music contradicts the topic in a very entertaining way. The music is nice and laid back, but the pictures I conjure are of you dancing around holding your toe. Simply priceless...I mean the song, hope your toe is ok : )

I don't know what made me re-listen to this song - I haven't had a bad pizza/sleep experience recently. I recall listening to this almost three years back when I first signed up (the song was only about 1.5 months old at that point). I thought it was superb back then, but on after today's random relisten, there emerged a new favorite lyric ... right there at 1:59:
